DERA ISMAIL KHAN: In a targeted operation at the Bhakkar Pull Check Post, the Dera Food Authority, acting on provincial government directives, cracked down on adulterated milk and mislabeled food products.

Motorcycles supplying milk were inspected, and samples tested on-site using a modern mobile laboratory. Results confirmed water adulteration, leading to immediate fines and warnings for those involved.

A separate vehicle transporting meat—including offal, trotters, and cow heads—to Dera city was stopped for inspection. Authorities issued directives to ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards.

Additionally, mislabeled pops and juice products were confiscated to prevent the sale of substandard or unsafe food items, and legal action was initiated for violations of Food Safety SOPs.

Officials affirmed that such enforcement operations would continue to ensure the public receives safe and high-quality food throughout Dera Ismail Khan.
