NORTH WAZIRISTAN: In a somber ceremony reflecting deep national pride and sorrow, the funeral prayers for six courageous soldiers who lost their lives in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan were held at Peshawar Garrison. The soldiers, who laid down their lives fighting against the Khorasan group, were commemorated in a service attended by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, senior military officials, civilian dignitaries, and family members of the martyrs.
The fallen heroes include: Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Shaukat Shaheed (43, Faisalabad), Lance Naik Muhammad Allah Shaheed (31, Khyber), Lance Naik Akhtar Zaman Shaheed (30, Lakki Marwat), Lance Naik Shahid Allah Shaheed (29, Tank), Lance Naik Yousaf Ali Shaheed (31, Orakzai), Sepoy Jamil Ahmed Shaheed (26, Swat). As the prayers echoed through the grounds, the ceremony served as a poignant reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made by these brave soldiers in the line of duty.
General Munir expressed profound condolences to the bereaved families, acknowledging the significant loss and reinforcing the army’s unwavering commitment to combatting terrorism in the region. The bodies of the martyrs have been sent back to their native areas, where they will be interred with full military honors, ensuring that their legacy of bravery is honored appropriately.
