DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi announced a total grant of Rs4.5 million for the District Bar Association Dera Ismail Khan and the Tehsil Bar Associations of Daraban and Kulachi, acknowledging the pivotal role of lawyers in Pakistan’s democratic development.
Addressing a cheque distribution ceremony, Governor Kundi emphasized that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has consistently supported the legal community and praised the historic contributions of lawyers from Dera Ismail Khan in upholding justice and the rule of law. He credited Member National Assembly Sardar Fatehullah Khan Mian Khel for assisting in securing the grants and highlighted that several renowned judges have originated from the district.
During the ceremony, cheques were handed over as follows: Rs 2.5 million to District Bar Association Dera Ismail Khan President Qaisar Khan Mian Khel, Rs 1 million to Kulachi Bar Association President Yasir Khan, and Rs 1 million to Daraban Bar Association President Gul Rehman Khan. Governor Kundi assured that grants for Paroa and Paharpur Bar Associations would be provided in due course.
Speaking at the event, District Bar Association President and PPP Divisional President Qaisar Khan Mian Khel expressed gratitude for the support extended to both the District and Tehsil Bars, noting that the governor’s home district benefits from his continued attention to the legal fraternity’s concerns.
The ceremony was attended by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council member Sardar Hashmat Rehman Sadozai Advocate, District Bar General Secretary Sardar Adnan Saeed Sadozai, Finance Secretary Sheikh Mehmood-ul-Hassan Advocate, Habibullah Khan Medad Khel Advocate, PPP District General Secretary Abid Awan Advocate, Peoples Lawyers Forum leader Shah Fahad Ansari Advocate, and Sardar Hizbullah Khan Gandapur Advocate, among others.
