PESHAWAR: The Consul General of Iran in Peshawar, Ali Banafsha Khah, paid a formal visit to the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, in a meeting that underlined the enduring ties between the two neighboring countries.
The discussions focused on matters of mutual interest, particularly the historic friendship between Pakistan and Iran, as well as the complex dynamics of the current regional situation. Governor Kundi highlighted the importance of strengthening both trade and cultural links, noting that increased cooperation could serve as a foundation for broader regional stability.
Kundi urged neighboring Islamic nations to stand together, suggesting that unity among these countries was essential to counter hostile intentions and foster lasting peace. During the visit, the Iranian Consul General extended a formal invitation to the Governor to attend the upcoming Pak-Iran Trades and Investment Council Pavilion, scheduled to commence in Tehran on 17 April.
