KARACHI: Greenwich University recently hosted the “Global Village” event in Karachi, an initiative that aims to foster international connections and celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures represented within the city. Among the notable attendees were Sami Alkhanjari, the Consul General of Oman; Cemal Samgu, the Consul General of Turkey; and Dr. Saeid Talebinia, the Director General of the Khana Farhang of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi. Their presence underscored the event’s emphasis on diplomatic relations and cultural exchange.
The gathering also included Ishtiaq Baig, Honorary Consul of Morocco, alongside a diverse group of representatives from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Palestine, Russia, and other nations as well as President PPEMF Z.H. Khurram. The Global Village served as a platform for fostering understanding and collaboration among different cultures, showcasing traditional crafts, cuisine, and performances that highlighted the unique heritages of participating countries. The event not only celebrated the global community but also aimed to strengthen ties between local and international entities, promoting a spirit of unity amid diversity.
