SUKKUR: Teachers waiting for jobs under the IBA 40+ scheme continued their peaceful protest at Dargah Sachal Sarmast on the 254th day of their demonstration, coinciding with the Urs of Hazrat Sachal Sarmast.
Protesters, including Ayaz Magsi and Abdul Ghaffar, said they have also established a central camp at the Karachi Press Club, urging the Sindh government to act immediately to resolve their grievances.

They demanded that leaders of the Sindh Joint Action Committee be included in the committee formed by the Sindh Assembly to address the issue. The group called for the announcement of recruitments and issuance of offer letters to all IBA 40+ waiting candidates, stressing that merit must be restored and the recruitment process extended.
The protesters plan to present their demands directly to Chief Minister Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, and former Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, who are expected to visit the shrine on Wednesday.
