DIG T&T highlighted that the upgraded and digitalized MT units play a central role in overall policing performance. The department not only maintains vehicles used in operations in remote areas but also provides technical support to other districts.
Expressing gratitude, IGP Javed Alam Odho thanked all vehicle manufacturers involved in the initiative and emphasized the importance of modern technology in transforming routine policing into smart policing. He stated that Sindh Police is moving from emergency operations toward regular policing, where technologically equipped vehicles are essential to provide prompt and efficient services to the public.
IG Sindh further noted that successful operations in remote areas have been achieved through smart vehicles and advanced technology, alongside the sacrifices of martyrs. He stressed that policing should increasingly rely on smart and modern vehicles rather than heavy conventional ones.
He urged vehicle manufacturers to support the police by providing technical training to staff and offering annual maintenance and overhauling services to keep the fleet operational.
