KARACHI: Inspector General of Police Sindh, Ghulam Nabi Memon, expressed his gratitude at a grand ceremony held in his honor by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Sindh, highlighting the reforms and modernization initiatives he introduced since assuming office.
Memon said that upgrading technical systems and procedures in Sindh Police’s critical units, including the CTD and Special Branch, has already begun yielding positive results. He thanked the Sindh government for releasing special funds to support these initiatives, noting that the credit goes to the CTD team for their dedication and hard work.

“The work of CTD officers is highly sensitive, and expectations are correspondingly high,” he said. He emphasized that evolving terrorist tactics demand the department stay a step ahead and operate more efficiently and intelligently. “The CTD possesses modern technical capabilities capable of countering any threat,” he added.
Memon expressed pride in the current CTD team and credited the Additional IG of CTD for their successes. He stressed the value of intent and effort in any profession and highlighted the importance of teamwork, urging officers to maintain trust and coordination within the force. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of shields, gifts, Sindhi caps, and traditional Ajrak to IG Sindh by the Additional IG, DIGs, SSPs, and other officers and staff.
