KARACHI: The inauguration of the fIPV (Fractional Inactivated Polio Vaccine) campaign was celebrated with a dedicated event and a Polio Awareness Walk at UC-44 Haji Mureed Goth in Nazimabad Town. This initiative aims to bolster efforts in eradicating polio and raise public awareness about the importance of vaccination.
The inauguration ceremony was marked by the active participation of local government officials and community leaders. UC Chairman Javed Mureed Bikak, Vice-Chairman Abdul Khalid Baloch, and all ward-wise councilors, including General Councilor Feroz, Labor Councilor Pervaiz, Ansar, Abu Bakar, and Lady Councilors Shamim Bano and Shafaq, were present. Their involvement underscored the collective commitment to the campaign’s success.
Key government figures such as SHO Nadeem and school teacher Shoaib Bikak also joined the event, reflecting the broad support for the campaign within the community. The campaign was formally inaugurated at the town level by THO Dr. Khurram, who emphasized the significance of the fIPV campaign in the ongoing battle against polio. At the UC-44 level, the inauguration was carried out by UCMO Raheela Ejaz, alongside UCOO Shaheen, CBO Attaullah, Additional Staff CBO Firdous, CBO Shahzaib, UCPO Zeenat, UCSP Akmal, UCSP Beena, and other key personnel including ASPVs, CMs, and CHWs.
UC Chairman Javed Mureed Bikak delivered a compelling awareness message to the public, highlighting the critical importance of the fIPV campaign in preventing polio. He encouraged all ward members to actively support and contribute to the campaign’s success, stressing the need for community involvement and vigilance to ensure effective vaccination coverage.
