KARACHI: Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Pakistan Chandra W. Sukotjo along with the Consul General of Indonesia in Karachi Bapak Mudzakir, welcomed Vice Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri, at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, on Thursday.

The visit of the Indonesian Vice Minister of Trade is part of a series of working engagements in Pakistan aimed at strengthening bilateral trade and economic relations between Indonesia and Pakistan, as well as supporting the growth of exports of Indonesia’s flagship products to the Pakistani market.

During her stay in Karachi, the Vice Minister of Trade is scheduled to participate in several strategic events, including the Indonesian Palm Oil Networking Reception, the Pakistan Edible Oil Conference (PEOC), and a series of bilateral meetings with Pakistani government officials and business leaders.

These engagements are expected to open new avenues for cooperation, expand market access, and reinforce Indonesia’s role as a key partner for Pakistan, particularly in the palm oil sector, food products, and other leading commodities.

The Indonesian Consul General in Karachi highlighted the consulate’s readiness to fully support all activities of the Vice Minister, including facilitation of business meetings, promotion of Indonesian products, and strengthening connections with major industry associations and importers in Pakistan.

The Vice Minister’s visit is also expected to enhance the image and trust of Indonesian products in the Pakistani market. This visit represents an important milestone in further strengthening Indonesia–Pakistan relations, not only at the governmental level but also by deepening cooperation among business communities and expanding mutually beneficial economic ties.
