TEHRAN: Iran has carried out a drone attack on Fujairah Port in the United Arab Emirates, triggering a massive fire at the affected site. The attack forced the suspension of some oil loading operations, and thick smoke engulfed the area, according to US media reports.
Emirati authorities said their air defense systems successfully destroyed nine ballistic missiles and thirty-three drones targeting the port. Meanwhile, Iran’s retaliatory strikes against Israel continued, with 20 explosions reported in Tel Aviv, causing fires at multiple locations.
Iranian forces also issued warnings to the United States, urging American-linked industries in the region to stay away. They advised residents near Dubai’s Jebel Ali Port, Abu Dhabi’s Khalifa Port, and Fujairah Port to avoid US military bases. The strikes mark a significant escalation in regional tensions, affecting maritime security and international trade in the Gulf.
