Iran has executed a man accused of spying for Israel’s Mossad, the latest in a string of espionage-related executions amid rising tensions.

    News Desk

TEHRAN: Iran executed a man accused of spying for Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, in what officials described as another blow against foreign espionage networks operating inside the country. The execution, reported by state media on Tuesday, marked the latest in a growing number of death sentences carried out against individuals accused of working with Israel.

According to judicial authorities, the convicted man was found guilty of gathering and transmitting sensitive information to Mossad operatives. Prosecutor Kazem Mousavi told Arab media that the individual had maintained direct contact with Israeli officers and had met them on multiple occasions to exchange intelligence. The judiciary did not release the man’s name or details of the trial, which was reportedly conducted under Iran’s national security laws.

Officials claimed that “timely action” by Iranian intelligence services led to his arrest and prevented further leaks of classified material. State media portrayed the execution as part of an ongoing effort to dismantle what Tehran describes as a wide-reaching Mossad network targeting Iranian military and scientific assets.

The case came amid rising regional tensions following a series of assassinations and sabotage attacks that Iran has blamed on Israel. Over the past year, several alleged Mossad-linked operatives have been detained or executed in Iran, as the government intensifies its counter-intelligence operations.

Tehran has long accused Israel of running covert operations inside its borders, including attacks on nuclear facilities and the killing of senior military and scientific figures. Israel has neither confirmed nor denied involvement in such incidents, maintaining its policy of strategic ambiguity.
