TEHRAN: Iran announced that it will halt attacks on neighboring countries unless strikes originate from their territory, the country’s interim leadership council decided, President Masoud Pezeshkian said.
Pezeshkian also issued an apology to neighboring states for recent missile strikes, stressing that Iran does not intend to target Arab territories and aims to avoid unnecessary regional confrontation.
Minutes after the statement, an explosion was reportedly heard over Doha, along with a security alarm, which observers believe may have been an intercepted projectile.
