TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said it is now clear that the United States is using neighboring countries’ territories to launch attacks on Iran. In an interview with US media, Araghchi stated that last night’s attacks targeted Iranian fuel facilities and infrastructure, carried out with short-range rockets launched from the territory of Iran’s neighbors.
Araghchi warned that any future strikes on Iranian energy installations or infrastructure would trigger a clear and decisive response, with Iranian forces targeting relevant US or allied energy and infrastructure assets in the region. He confirmed that the recent attacks on Kharg and Abu Musa islands were traced back to two locations in the United Arab Emirates, near Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai.
The Iranian foreign minister described the situation as extremely dangerous, noting that the attacks were launched from heavily populated areas. While Iran intends to respond, Araghchi emphasized that civilian areas will not be targeted in retaliation, stressing the need to avoid casualties among the general population.
