BAGHDAD: The situation in the Middle East escalated further after attacks on two foreign oil tankers at Iraq’s Al-Faw port. According to Arab media outlet Al Jazeera, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, and Saudi Arabia claimed to have intercepted Iranian missiles and drones in the skies.
Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian outlined three key conditions to end the conflict: recognition of Iran’s legitimate rights, compensation for war damages, and strong international guarantees against future aggression.
US President Donald Trump confirmed that the United States will ensure the protection of oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran warned that if tensions persist, global oil prices could surge to $200 per barrel.
