Education officers in the Jamrud sub-division have compiled data of registered students from all 96 primary schools, and, on the instructions of the provincial government, the distribution of schoolbags and stationery has begun without delay. The process is being overseen by SDEO Adil Nawaz Afridi, Assistant Sub-Divisional Education Officer (ASDEO) Wajid Muhammad Afridi and ASDEO Malagori Baghdadi Shah.
The education officers also visited various government schools to review the ongoing examinations. After assessing the examination process, SDEO Afridi, ASDEO Wajid Muhammad Afridi and ASDEO Baghdadi Shah distributed schoolbags and stationery among students at Government Primary School Hashim Abad.
According to Afridi, a total of 14,092 schoolbags along with stationery and geometry boxes have been provided to schools, and the distribution process is continuing. He said the initiative would reduce the financial burden on poor students’ families and encourage children to continue their education, which would help lower the dropout rate.
He added that the education office had prepared high-quality and standardised question papers for the ongoing examinations. After the exams conclude, detailed marks certificates (DMCs) will be issued to schools, and prizes will also be distributed among position-holding students at the end of the examination process.
