KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Ameer Monem Zafar has expressed his utmost displeasure over the corruption and mismanagement on part of the Pakistan People Party government in Sindh that resulted in order by the court to hold fresh entry exams for medical and dental colleges.
In his response to the court order for fresh MDCAT, Monem Zafar said that the aspiring medical students have to pay the price for corruption and mismanagement by the government. He said that the fate of the fresh test would be uncertain without ensuring transparency. On the occasion, he demanded of the authorities to take strict action against those involved in leakage of the papers beforehand. He said that thousands of aspiring students will have to go through a cumbersome procedure and still there is no guarantee that the fresh test would be crystal clear.
He said that thousands of students had to face extreme mismanagement on September 22. At one hand, only two examination centers were designated for the entire Karachi which were quite inadequate, whereas on the other, news regarding leakage of the papers brought in uncertainty, he said. The JI leader demanded a permanent and durable solution to the issue persisting for the past few years.
