KARACHI: Federal Health Minister and senior MQM-P leader Mustafa Kamal met with Sindh Health Minister Azra Pechuho in Karachi on Friday to address long-standing administrative and operational challenges at Jinnah Hospital.
Accompanied by his team, Mustafa Kamal held detailed discussions aimed at improving coordination between federal and provincial health authorities and ensuring smoother functioning of one of the province’s largest medical facilities. The meeting focused on issues faced by hospital staff, including concerns over working conditions, administrative bottlenecks, and resource allocation.

Both ministers underscored the importance of constructive dialogue and cooperation, signaling a shared commitment to resolving longstanding challenges that had affected hospital operations and employee morale. They agreed that improving the welfare of hospital employees would be a top priority, while also developing a joint strategy to enhance overall management and accountability within the health ministry.
Speaking after the meeting, Mustafa Kamal assured Pechuho that the federal government would fully deploy its resources, technical expertise, and administrative authority to support stability in Sindh’s health sector. He emphasized that both tiers of government would continue working closely together to improve healthcare delivery, strengthen hospital services, and ensure that patients received timely and efficient care.
Officials present at the meeting noted that this engagement reflected a broader effort to bridge gaps between federal and provincial institutions and to adopt a more collaborative approach to public service delivery. Observers said that the focus on joint planning and resource sharing could serve as a model for addressing systemic challenges in other areas of governance.
