KARACHI: Following a sharp increase in diesel prices, bus fares in Karachi have been raised.
The minimum fare for city buses has gone up from Rs30 to Rs50, while the maximum fare now stands at Rs100.
Intercity bus services have also adjusted their fares. The executive bus from Lahore to Rawalpindi increased from Rs2,250 to Rs2,480, and the Executive Plus service now costs Rs3,680, up from Rs3,350.
For longer routes, the fare from Lahore to Karachi rose by Rs3,000 to Rs13,200, while the Lahore to Murree route increased from Rs3,100 to Rs3,720.
The fare hikes follow rising fuel costs, impacting both daily commuters and long-distance travelers.
