KARACHI: Karachi witnessed a significant display of solidarity with Iran on Tuesday, as religious scholars, political leaders, and representatives of Christian, Hindu, and Sikh communities joined prominent social figures in a mass rally expressing support for Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and condemning recent threats from the United States.

Following the demonstration, participants proceeded to the Iranian Consulate in Karachi, where they met with Iran’s Consul General, Akbar Eissa Zadeh. Addressing the gathering, Consul General Zadeh welcomed the attendees and praised their commitment, describing the rally as a “powerful symbol of unity and enduring harmony” between the peoples of Iran and Pakistan.

Eissa Zadeh acknowledged recent challenges, including the 12-day conflict with Israel, media speculation about the Supreme Leader’s presence in Tehran, and heightened US naval activity in the Persian Gulf, commending Pakistan for standing firmly with Iranian leadership during these critical times.
Senior representatives from the Shia Ulama Council, Milli Yakjehti Council Sindh, Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan Sindh, Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Karachi, and other civic and religious bodies reaffirmed their allegiance to the principles of the Islamic Revolution, marking its 47th anniversary with renewed commitment.
They presented Consul General Zadeh with a petition conveying greetings and assurances of loyalty to the Supreme Leader, emphasizing that followers of the revolution are prepared to support Iran both diplomatically and in moments of crisis.
Consul General Zadeh hailed the gesture as an expression of shared values, underscoring the deep-rooted bonds between the peoples of the two nations and highlighting the role of collective solidarity in sustaining regional stability and mutual respect.
