KARACHI: In a bid to facilitate ongoing construction work, the traffic police in Karachi have announced a series of road closures set to take effect tonight. According to the spokesperson, the Car Saraz Road leading to the National Stadium from Shahrah-e-Faisal will be closed from 1 AM to 4 AM. Traffic coming from Nursery will not be permitted to proceed towards the airport; however, vehicles on Shahrah-e-Faisal can divert under the Baloch Bridge onto Shaheed Millat Road.
Additionally, the Sir Shah Suleman Road, which leads to the stadium from University Road, will also be closed during the same hours. Motorists can opt for Jail Flyover, PP Chowrangi, or Shaheed Millat Road as alternative routes. The road leading from Liaquatabad to the stadium will remain blocked for traffic at Hassan Square, further complicating access to the area.
These planned closures are likely to cause inconvenience for motorists and could significantly affect travel times in the bustling city, as construction efforts continue to reshape Karachi’s infrastructure. As residents adjust to the changes, authorities urge commuters to plan their routes accordingly and remain patient during the disruptions.
