KARACHI: A wellness session aimed at senior citizens focused on inner child healing and emotional connection, bringing together participants across generations for reflection and shared learning.
The event was organised by VCare Welfare Social Society in collaboration with Khudi Wellness, creating an inclusive space for both older adults and younger participants.
The session was facilitated by Komal Ghazal, who led a storytelling-based discussion on childhood experiences, emotional memories and their long-term impact on personality and behaviour.
Participants shared personal experiences and reflected on how early environments, parenting styles and unresolved emotions continued to shape their lives. The session provided a supportive setting for emotional expression, release and reconnection with formative experiences.
Discussions also emphasised the need to break generational patterns and adopt more mindful parenting approaches for future generations.
Concluding the session, Sarwat Shah said individuals did not have to live with unresolved childhood trauma and could work towards processing and releasing emotional burdens.
The gathering ended with an Eid Milan one-dish event, allowing participants to continue informal interaction and strengthen a sense of community and belonging.
Organisers said the initiative reflected a shared commitment to promoting emotional wellbeing, awareness and social connection, particularly among senior citizens, through community-based programmes.
