KARACHI: The Inspector General of Police Sindh, Ghulam Nabi Memon, was warmly received at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) on Monday, where business leaders gathered to recognize his contributions to the city’s security and public safety.
KCCI President Rehan Hanif, along with senior traders including Javed Bulwani, Hafeez Aziz, and Imtiaz, welcomed the IGP, praising his efforts to restore law and order in Karachi, a city long challenged by crime and instability. “Today, we have gathered to pay tribute to your services,” Hanif said, highlighting that the police had not only ensured the safety of the business community but also created a secure environment for citizens.
Hanif lauded the swift police response to recent extortion complaints, describing it as exemplary and reflecting a commitment to protecting public interests. He said the city’s industrial and commercial sectors were increasingly benefiting from effective policing, improved surveillance, and rapid action against criminal elements.
