KARACHI: In a show of solidarity and gratitude, over 200 contract employees from the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) gathered at the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan’s Bahadurabad office to express their thanks to party leaders for their role in securing a court order for their reinstatement. The meeting, held recently, featured prominent MQM leader and Member of National Assembly Syed Aminul Haque, who welcomed the employees and acknowledged their struggles.
The employees hailed the Sindh High Court’s decision as a significant victory, crediting the MQM Pakistan Labor Division and its central members for their unwavering support throughout the reinstatement process. “This is not just a personal win for us; it reflects the MQM’s dedication to the welfare of the working class,” one employee remarked, highlighting the impact of political advocacy in labor rights.
During the meeting, Aminul Haque congratulated the reinstated employees, emphasizing that MQM Pakistan is committed to serving individuals from all walks of life. He expressed optimism that the employees, now back in their positions, would carry out their duties with integrity and dedication, thereby contributing positively to the institution and addressing the concerns of Karachi’s citizens. “We believe in a Karachi where every individual has the opportunity to thrive,” Haque stated.
