SUKKUR: Acting on strict directives from Deputy Commissioner Khairpur, a large-scale anti-encroachment operation was successfully conducted in the Panjahti area of Khairpur city on Monday.
Under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Arslan Hyder Phulpoto, illegal encroachments along main roads and public thoroughfares were removed to improve traffic flow and facilitate citizens’ movement. The operation targeted unauthorized structures, carts, stalls, and extended portions of shops on Panjahti Road and surrounding areas.
Authorities also marked clear boundaries (red lines) to prevent future encroachments and issued strict instructions to shopkeepers to adhere to designated limits. The crackdown followed repeated complaints regarding traffic congestion and travel difficulties in the area.
The district administration emphasized that illegal occupation of government and public property will not be tolerated and that such actions will continue to enforce the rule of law while safeguarding public facilities in the city.
