KHAIRPUR: The deputy commissioner of Khairpur, Altaf Ahmed Chachar, has ordered that revenue-related matters be resolved on a priority basis, urging officials to improve coordination and visibly raise administrative performance.

Chairing a meeting of assistant commissioners and mukhtiarkars at the Sachal Sarmast Hall in the DC Office, Chachar said timely disposal of revenue cases depended on closer working relationships between revenue staff and other relevant departments.

He said long-standing issues relating to Sindh agriculture tax, Jamabandi records, verification processes, public health schemes and compensation payments linked to the M-6 motorway could only be addressed through strict enforcement of the law. All officers, he added, must carry out their duties with responsibility and commitment.

The deputy commissioner also directed officials to complete tasks referred by departments outside the revenue wing within the prescribed timelines. He announced that a follow-up meeting would be held on 1 January to review pending cases, instructing officers to prioritize their core responsibilities and work professionally to clear remaining workloads.

The meeting discussed a range of issues, including awards, financial matters, departmental forms, taxation, Jamabandi, correspondence from various departments, irrigation concerns and other administrative matters.

Those present included additional deputy commissioner-I Riaz Hussain Sheikh, additional deputy commissioner-II Shahrukh, assistant commissioner Syed Arbab Shah, along with all assistant commissioners, mukhtiarkars and revenue officials of district Khairpur Mir’s.
