KHAIRPUR: In a targeted operation against illegal and non-compliant petrol stations, the District Administration of Khairpur sealed approximately 10 petrol pumps across the district, officials confirmed.

The operation was led by Assistant Commissioner Arslan Hyder Phulpoto under directives from the Home Department, Government of Sindh, and in accordance with letter No. 6989–4600 / AIGP / OPS-I / 2025 issued by the Office of the Inspector General of Police, Sindh, Karachi.

Petrol pumps found operating in violation of legal requirements and government instructions were sealed to ensure public safety and uphold the rule of law. The sealed stations included Ali Abbas Petroleum Service, Sartaj Petroleum Service, Super II Petroleum Service, and Al-Madina Petroleum Service located on the Babarlo Bypass along the National Highway.

Nawab 2 Petroleum at Ubri Babarlo and Gul Mehar Petroleum at Karmaabad on the National Highway were also sealed. Additionally, Al-Ghadir Petroleum Service on Thane Bypass, Al-Asad Petroleum Service near the Khairpur Luqman Underbridge, Khalifa Filling Station in Khairpur City, and Haseeb Petrol Pump along with Al-Khair Petroleum Service on University Road were shut down during the operation.

Assistant Commissioner Phulpoto emphasized that illegal operations, lack of safety measures, and disobedience to government directives would not be tolerated. He stated that similar enforcement actions would continue in the coming days and that strict penalties would be imposed on violators.

The district administration also urged the public to purchase fuel only from registered and legally approved petrol stations and encouraged citizens to report any illegal activities to the relevant authorities.
