KOHAT: A senior provincial delegation visited the home of Dr Mehwish in Kohat to offer condolences and assure her family of a transparent investigation following her killing. The delegation included Chief Minister’s Special Assistant for Information Shafi Jan, Provincial Health Minister Khaliqur Rehman, Provincial Minister Aftab Alam, MPA Daud Afridi, Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Moatasim Billah Shah, the Deputy Commissioner, DHQ Hospital’s Medical Superintendent, and other senior officials.
The officials prayed for the deceased and expressed solidarity with the family, promising to use all available resources to ensure the case reaches a just conclusion. They confirmed that suspects have been arrested and that a full, impartial, and transparent investigation is ongoing. The family will receive legal and administrative support throughout the process.
Paying tribute to Dr Mehwish’s contributions to healthcare, the delegation said her professional services would be remembered and emphasized that further measures would be taken to safeguard medical professionals across the province.
