KHYBER: World Quds Day was observed with large-scale rallies across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Jumat-ul-Wida, expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people and condemning Israeli actions. Cities including Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, Abbottabad, Kohat, and Parachinar witnessed widespread participation from citizens, religious leaders, and student organizations.

In Dera Ismail Khan, the Shia Ulema Council, Imamia Students Organization Pakistan, and Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen led a rally after Friday prayers. Speakers, including Allama Muhammad Ramzan Tauqeer and Tanveer Mehdi, emphasized the Muslim Ummah’s responsibility to support Palestine and vowed to continue their struggle for the liberation of Bait-ul-Muqaddas.
In Tank, thousands marched from Jamia Masjid Jafaria to Main Waziristan Road, carrying Palestinian and Iranian flags, and chanting slogans against Israel and the United States. The rally concluded with the burning of US and Israeli flags and special prayers for Pakistan, Palestine, and Iran, under strict security supervision by Deputy Commissioner Tanveer Khan Khattak and DPO Abdul Samad.
Abbottabad saw a Quds Day rally led by Allama Jahanzeb Ali Jafri, with citizens voicing support for Palestinians and calling for Sunni-Shia unity against divisive conspiracies. In Kohat, participants from both Shia and Sunni communities burned effigies of the US president and criticized the UN’s inaction.
In Parachinar, tribal elders and citizens organized a procession concluding at Shaheed Park, where speakers denounced US and Israeli actions and urged Muslim nations to act for the protection of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Iran.
All rallies concluded peacefully, with participants reiterating solidarity with Palestine, prayers for the liberation of the first Qibla, and calls for Muslim unity.
