Addressing the meeting, RPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar directed that operations against terrorists and their facilitators be intensified across all districts of the Dera Region.
The RPO emphasised that all terrorism-related cases should be investigated thoroughly, transparently, and on merit, with the accused brought to justice without delay. He also instructed the regular use of drone and quadcopter technology during operations, enforcement of bulletproof jackets and helmets for personnel on duty, and continuous variation of patrolling routines to prevent predictability.
RPO Anwar further ordered immediate action against illegal Afghan nationals and stressed the need for enhanced inter-district coordination to secure foreign residents. He called for improvement in the security, fortification, and infrastructure of all police stations and check posts.
At the conclusion of the meeting, RPO Dera and all participants reaffirmed their commitment to fully utilise available resources and strategies to protect lives and property, and to maintain peace and order throughout the Dera Region.
