    KU holds admission test for Evening programs

    KARACHI: The University of Karachi conducted the entry test for the BSCS and BSSE evening programs in the Department of Computer Science on Sunday, December 7, 2025. The 100-minute examination was held at the departments of economics and history and began at 11 a.m.

    According to Professor Dr Saima Akhter, in-charge of the Directorate of Admissions, the test was conducted for 220 available seats. A total of 1,056 admission forms had been submitted, of which 782 candidates appeared for the examination.

    She noted that 276 of the applicants had already qualified in the BS First Year Morning Program admission test held on October 25, 2025, by securing 50 marks or above. These candidates were exempted from taking the evening program test, and their results would be determined based on their Morning Program scores.

    The KU Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, along with the Registrar, Professor Dr Imran Ahmad Siddiqui, who also serves as convener of the KU Assessment and Testing Service (KUATS), Director of the Evening Program Professor Dr Syed Shabib Ul Hasan, Professor Dr Saima Akhter, KUATS member Professor Dr Anila Amber Malik, acting Controller of Examinations Dr Muhammad Yasir Khan, consultant of the KU Medical Center Dr Akmal Waheed, KU Medical Officer Dr Hassan Auj, and Campus Security Advisor Dr Salman Zubair visited various examination centres. The vice chancellor expressed satisfaction with the arrangements.

    Members of the Admission Committee and the Watch and Ward staff were deployed at entry points and around faculty premises to guide candidates and their parents, while help desks were established for their assistance. Transport facilities were also provided for the candidates.

    Professor Dr Saima Akhter informed that the admission test results would be uploaded to candidates’ portals on December 8, 2025, with the final admission list scheduled for release on December 10, 2025.
