KARACHI: Abdul Rahim Jano, Global President of the Memons Leadership Foundation (MLF), has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the welfare of journalists in collaboration with the Karachi Press Club (KPC). In a recent gesture of goodwill, the MLF issued 100 health cards to members of the Karachi Press Club and announced plans to organize a medical camp focused on eye diseases in the near future.
On Monday, a delegation from the Memons Leadership Foundation, led by Abdul Rahim Jano, paid a visit to the Karachi Press Club. During the visit, both parties exchanged views on the challenges faced by journalists and the role of the business community in supporting them. In his address, Abdul Rahim Jano outlined the various humanitarian initiatives undertaken by the MLF, which include educational support and the establishment of institutions for disabled children. He also noted the foundation’s global reach, with active offices abroad, and emphasized the millions of patients who have benefited from the foundation’s services since its establishment in 2016.
Akhtar Younis Arfa, Chairman of MLF, and Haji Masood Ahmed Parekh, Founder of the organization, also shared their perspectives during the visit. They emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between the foundation and journalists to further enhance the welfare of the media community. Looking ahead, the Memons Leadership Foundation has proposed to set up a medical camp at the Karachi Press Club in November or December, specifically targeting eye diseases.
