KARACHI: The Meteorology Department has forecasted varied weather across Pakistan during Eid-ul-Fitr, with cloudy skies expected in the upper regions. A new western weather system is likely to enter the country from the evening of March 17, bringing thunderstorms and rain across most areas from March 18 to 20.
In Balochistan, rainfall and hailstorms are expected in several districts between March 17 and 20. Upper regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may see rain, while mountain areas could experience snowfall. Punjab and Islamabad are likely to have intermittent rain from the night of March 17 to March 20, with thunderstorms and hail possible in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad.
Sindh cities may see rain and lightning on March 18 and 19. Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir are also expected to have rainfall along with mountain snow. Authorities warned of potential landslides in hilly areas, advising tourists to avoid unnecessary travel. Crops may suffer due to hailstorms and thunderstorms, and daytime temperatures are expected to drop.
