LAHORE: Pakistan’s cricket captain Mohammad Rizwan has credited the team’s bowlers for their commanding performance in the third One Day International (ODI) against Australia, which secured Pakistan’s 1-2 series win.
Speaking to the media in Perth, Rizwan emphasized the significant role played by the bowlers, including Naseem Shah, Shaheen Afridi, and Haris Rauf, who dismantled the Australian batting order, leaving them all out for just 140 runs in 31.5 overs. Rizwan noted that it is never easy to beat Australia in their home conditions, but the openers, Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique, provided a solid start that laid the foundation for the victory.
Despite difficult weather conditions and a challenging pitch, Rizwan’s team delivered, with the bowlers’ exceptional performance ensuring Australia never gained momentum. Rizwan also expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support from fans, both in the stadium and across Pakistan, underscoring that such support is vital regardless of the outcome of the match.
