KARACHI: Senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), Anees Ahmed Kaimkhani, along with members of the Central Committee and other officials, conducted a visit to Kidney Hill Park on August 18 to assess the progress of a mass plantation event held earlier this month. The event, which took place on August 14, aimed to enhance green spaces in Karachi and promote environmental sustainability.
During his visit, Kaimkhani reviewed the current status of the newly planted trees and met with the workers responsible for their care and irrigation. He expressed his appreciation for their dedication and hard work, which he noted was crucial for the success of the plantation initiative. “The efforts of these workers in maintaining and nurturing the plants are commendable,” Kaimkhani said. “Their dedication is vital for ensuring that these plants thrive and contribute positively to our environment.”
Kaimkhani highlighted the collaboration between MQM-P workers and botanical experts, which he believes is essential for the long-term success of the project. He assured that the plants, which were selected for their suitability to the local climate, will be carefully managed throughout the year. The aim is for these plants to mature into fully grown trees that will provide shade and bear fruit, contributing to the beautification and ecological health of Karachi.
The MQM-P leader emphasized that this initiative is part of a broader effort by the party to improve urban green spaces and combat environmental degradation. He noted that the plantation project reflects the party’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life in Karachi and addressing environmental challenges. Looking forward, Kaimkhani assured that the MQM-P will continue to support and monitor the progress of the plantation, with plans to expand similar projects in other parts of the city.
