KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan held a large rally in Orangi Town No. 5 to express unwavering support for Pakistan’s armed forces. The event was attended by party workers, office-bearers, and members of the public, demonstrating the city’s strong commitment to national defence.

Senior party leaders, including Farooq Sattar, addressed the gathering, highlighting Karachi’s historic role in standing for Pakistan’s security and stability. Sattar described the participants as “descendants of the founders of Pakistan,” emphasizing the city’s readiness to make sacrifices for the country. He also criticised India and Afghanistan, alleging a coordinated effort to destabilize Pakistan, and praised the armed forces for decisive responses to regional aggression.

Other speakers included Syed Amin Ul Haque, who reaffirmed the party’s support for the military and its preparedness to assist whenever necessary, and Member of the National Assembly Hafeezuddin, who stressed that love for the homeland and a spirit of sacrifice are deeply rooted among Karachi’s citizens. Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly, Ali Khurshidi, assured the armed forces’ capability to respond to any aggression from neighbouring countries.
The rally concluded with calls for full implementation of the National Action Plan and for the government to take decisive action against terrorism and criminal networks, including their facilitators.
