KARACHI: The leadership of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has issued a forceful statement denouncing the murder of Ismail Haniyeh, a prominent Hamas leader, reflecting deep anger and sorrow over his death. The MQM-P highlighted the profound significance of Haniyeh’s martyrdom, framing it as a powerful symbol of the enduring struggle and sacrifices of the Palestinian people.

In their statement, MQM-P emphasized that the Palestinians have demonstrated to Muslims worldwide, and to the so-called Islamic leaders, their unyielding commitment to the cause of defending Al-Quds (Jerusalem). They underscored that this commitment spans the entire spectrum of Palestinian society, from its youngest members to its highest leadership. The statement praised the Palestinians’ willingness to sacrifice their lives for their sacred cause, asserting that their dedication is a reflection of the legacy of the prophets.

MQM-P condemned the murder of Haniyeh, labeling it as a resounding slap in the face of the international community and the so-called peacekeepers. The party’s leadership argued that this act of violence reveals the true nature of the conflict, positioning it not just as a struggle between Palestine and Israel, but as a broader clash involving global terrorism and genocidal intent. According to MQM-P, Israel’s actions have shown that its enmity extends beyond Palestine, targeting Muslims across the globe in pursuit of its destructive objectives.

The MQM-P statement asserted that Israel’s atrocities and brutality, including the murder of Haniyeh, are indicative of its relentless pursuit of its nefarious goals. Despite these grave injustices, MQM-P reaffirmed that the Palestinian people’s faith and resolve remain unshaken. They declared their unwavering solidarity with Palestine, emphasizing their support during this period of profound grief and upheaval.

The MQM-P’s condemnation highlights the broader regional and international implications of the conflict, stressing the need for a unified Muslim response and increased international awareness regarding the plight of the Palestinian people. By framing the murder as part of a larger pattern of Israeli aggression and global terrorism, MQM-P calls for a reevaluation of international responses to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and a renewed commitment to justice and solidarity with Palestine.
