KARACHI: MQM-Pakistan has condemned what it described as derogatory and insulting language used by a nationalist vlogger on digital media platforms against Sindh governor Kamran Khan Tessori, saying the remarks were unacceptable and would be challenged through legal channels.

In a statement, the party’s spokesperson said MQM-P had “serious reservations” over the vlogger’s comments, which it viewed as an attempt to target a governor who, in the party’s words, served the people of Sindh “without distinction of color or ethnicity”. Tessori’s efforts for provincial unity and protection of rights, the spokesperson added, were widely recognized, making the use of abusive language against him “deeply regrettable”.

The spokesperson said the party would approach the National Centre for Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) to initiate action against those involved. MQM Pakistan, he added, would also contact relevant federal and provincial institutions to ensure legal proceedings were pursued.
