KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) is set to mark Independence Day with a grand celebration at Kidney Hill Park in Bahadurabad, Karachi. Senior MQM-P leaders Syed Mustafa Kamal and Anis Qaimkhani have conducted a thorough site visit to ensure the venue’s readiness for the central event, which will take place on August 14.
During the site visit, Kamal and Qaimkhani were joined by central committee members and heads of various MQM-P departments. The inspection focused on finalizing preparations for a large-scale tree plantation drive that will be a central feature of the celebrations. This initiative is part of MQM-P’s Green Pakistan Mission, aimed at promoting environmental sustainability. The Independence Day event will not only emphasize environmental responsibility but also foster community engagement. MQM-P has extended an invitation to its workers, their families, and the general public to participate in the festivities, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in national celebrations.
Following the plantation drive, MQM-P’s central leadership will address the attendees. The speeches are expected to underscore the significance of Independence Day, reaffirm MQM-P’s commitment to environmental causes, and highlight the party’s broader community and social initiatives. The choice of Kidney Hill Park as the venue reflects MQM-P’s dedication to integrating environmental concerns with national pride, providing a platform for both celebration and ecological action. The party’s efforts aim to enhance public awareness about environmental issues while celebrating Pakistan’s independence.
