
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan’s (MQM-P) delegation visited the regional office of the K-Electric in Bahadurabad and held a meeting with the authorities.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues, including unofficial load shedding, areas with poor recovery where load shedding needs to be reduced, and the scarcity of water supply to residents due to the absence of electricity at water pumping stations. The delegation member Asia Ishaq demanded that water pumping stations be exempted from loadshedding, while told the officials to stop unofficial loadshedding.
Asia said the importance of keeping the entire area free from loadshedding, especially during Sehri and Iftar in the month of Ramadan. The delegation from MQM Pakistan included Asia Ishaq, Arshad Vohra, Amer Moeen, along with members of the Provincial Assembly, Sharjeel Jamal, Sikander Khatoon, and Quratulain Shaam. The electric authorities listened attentively to the issues raised by the delegation and assured them of addressing these issues promptly. They also assured the delegation of changing the timing of load shedding at water pumping stations.
