KARACHI: As part of its annual tradition, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) continues to foster religious harmony during Muharram by engaging with scholars and attending religious gatherings. Senior central leader and Member of the National Assembly, Dr. Farooq Sattar, participated in various congregations at Imambargahs in Malir Town. He met with scholars, trustees, and organizers to discuss their concerns and assured them of his support in resolving issues.

During these meetings, organizers informed Dr. Farooq Sattar about the ongoing load shedding during the congregations. In response, Dr. Sattar immediately addressed the responsible authorities to ensure the issue was promptly resolved. He also toured several camps, accompanied by Provincial Assembly member Shariq Jamal and the organizers and committee members of Malir Town.
Dr. Sattar’s visits and discussions underscore MQM-P’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and harmonious Muharram, addressing community concerns, and promoting unity across different sects and communities. Meanwhile, a high-level delegation from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) attended a congregation at Taheri Mosque in Karachi and subsequently met with the spiritual leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin.

The delegation included Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, senior central leaders Syed Mustafa Kamal, Dr. Farooq Sattar, Anis Ahmed Qaimkhani, Syed Aminul Haque, and Sindh Assembly Leader of the Opposition Ali Khurshidi. The MQM-P delegation assured Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin of their full cooperation, emphasizing the city’s diverse mosaic of various religions and sects. The delegation highlighted that Muharram teaches the lesson of fostering mutual brotherhood by setting aside differences. They stated that raising the word of truth against oppressive forces is the message of Imam Hussain and the battle of Karbala, a message that must be spread by everyone. This meeting underscores MQM’s commitment to maintaining peace and unity among different communities in Karachi, especially during significant religious events like Muharram.
