DUBAI: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, reaffirmed his country’s unwavering commitment to deepening its partnership with the United Arab Emirates, describing the relationship as a cornerstone of regional stability and prosperity.

The remarks came during a meeting with UAE National Security Advisor and Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Abu Dhabi. Field Marshal Munir highlighted that the enduring strategic and historical ties between the two nations make the security and stability of the UAE an intrinsic concern for Pakistan.

Field Marshal Munir emphasized that continued cooperation would serve the interests of the peoples of both countries while contributing to peace and prosperity across the wider region. Speaking on the occasion, he also expressed gratitude for the UAE’s long-standing economic and security support, noting that decades of investment and collaboration reflected the depth of bilateral relations and the shared vision of both countries’ leaderships.

The discussions, officials said, focused on further enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors, with particular attention to economic collaboration, investment opportunities, and security initiatives. Both sides stressed the importance of strengthening coordination in response to evolving regional challenges and reiterated the need to work together to promote stability and sustainable development.

Field Marshal Munir’s visit underscored Pakistan’s commitment to nurturing strong ties with the UAE, reflecting a relationship that extends beyond diplomacy to include economic partnership, social development, and shared strategic interests.
