OXFORD: Pakistani student Musa Haraj has been elected as the President of Oxford Union, a prestigious student body at the University of Oxford. Musa, who is the son of former Federal Minister Muhammad Raza Hayat Haraj, is the fourth Pakistani to hold this esteemed position, following in the footsteps of notable figures such as Benazir Bhutto, Ahmed Nawaz, and Israr Khan.
Musa’s election came after a hard-fought contest, showcasing his determination and leadership skills. Expressing his gratitude, Musa shared, “Becoming the President of the Oxford Union is a tremendous honour for me.” He further expressed his thanks, saying, “I am deeply grateful to Allah for this achievement.” Musa’s victory is a remarkable milestone for both him and Pakistan, as it underscores the growing influence and success of Pakistani students in international forums.
