KARACHI: A Mushaira was held to commemorate Yaum-e-Siddiq-e-Akbar (RA), honoring the life and virtues of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA), the first Caliph of Islam.
The Mushaira was organized by Anjuman-e-Bahar-e-Adab in collaboration with Faiz-e-Madina Na’at Council at the residence of Na’at Khaan Al-Hajj Shah Rukh Qadri. The session was presided over by Al-Hajj Sufi Kamal Mian Jameeli Sultani, who later delivered a profound lecture on the life, truthfulness, sacrifices, and virtues of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA).
The session was moderated by poet Dr. Noor Saharanpuri and before the commencement of the poetry recitations, poet Adnan Aks presented a Na’at, filling the gathering with devotion and reverence for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Special guests included senior poet Qamar Waris as the guest of honor and Ubaidullah Sagar as an honorary guest.
Other attendees, including Allama Faisal Aziz Bandagi, spiritual leader Sufi Usman Ghani Chishti Nizami, and Sufi elder Hanif Shah Qalandari, who shared insightful reflections on the character and life of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA). Allama Faisal Aziz Bandagi’s powerful and immersive discourse left a deep impression on the audience.
The poets who recited devotional poetry in praise of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA) included Dr. Abdul Samad Noor Saharanpuri, Syed Ashar Bukhari, Adnan Zair, Abdul Basit Kamali Sultani, Fahd Zai Tor, Mahmood Hasan Taban, Muzammil Kamali Sultani, Usman Tariq, Professor Atiq Shah Mursal, Mehtab Alam Mehtab, Dr. Khurram Asi Jahangiri, Sharq Rasheed, Adnan Aks, Nooruddin Noor, Asi Sultani, Ali Shaer, Ubaidullah Sagar, Qamar Waris, and Al-Hajj Sufi Kamal Mian Jameeli Sultani.
The program concluded with heartfelt thanks expressed by Asad Qadri to all distinguished guests, poets, and participants, followed by a lavish dinner. The gathering ended with a comprehensive and spiritually moving dua by the session president, Al-Hajj Sufi Kamal Mian Jameeli Sultani, praying for the safety of the Muslim world, the unity of the Ummah, the propagation of Ishq-e-Siddiqi, and the advancement of Islamic literature.
