SUKKUR: In a significant political shift, over 21 activists from various nationalist groups announced their decision to leave their separatist outfits and join mainstream politics. The announcement was made during a function at Union Council Pacca Chang in District Khairpur, led by Syed Jeal Shah Chirman.

The activists, some of whom waved Pakistani flags, included notable figures such as Lal Bux Channa, Zahid Ali, Mahtab Ali Solangi, Sajid Chang, Shahid Chang, Khalid Hussain Chang, Nazar Muhammad Chang, Mohsin Chang, Qadir Shar, Abdul Rahim, Ghulam Ali, Sanwal Ali, Imdad Khaskhali, Jamil Ahmed, Salman Shar, M Younis Shar, Safar Shar, Nazar Ahmed, and Kashif Ali. They were associated with groups like Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM), Bashir Khan group, and JSQM Arisar group.

Speaking to journalists, the activists expressed their disillusionment with the separatist groups, asserting that these organizations had exploited people, particularly the youth, under the guise of advocating for Sindh’s rights. They emphasized that their decision to leave these groups stemmed from a realization that nationalist factions were working against the country’s interests, aligning with agendas of Pakistan’s adversaries. The activists pledged to reject any subversive activities and committed to contributing positively to the country’s political landscape. Their move reflects a significant realignment of political affiliations in the region, potentially impacting the dynamics of Sindhi nationalism and mainstream politics.
