KARACHI: Vice-Chancellor NED University Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi stated that the federal government, provincial government, university administration, and teachers have all combined to provide students with an excellent educational environment. As a result, students stand with their heads held high. He said he believed that the university has trained an exceptional generation ready to play an exemplary role in the development and prosperity of the nation.
According to Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Tufail and Registrar Syed Ghazanfar Hussain Naqvi, 21 scholars were awarded doctoral degrees at this convocation, including Saadia Memon from the Civil Engineering department, Saqib Sharif from Mechanical Engineering, Moona Kanwal, Khalid Mehbub, Mazamil Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Hasan Nisar, Muhammad Najm-ul-Islam from the Computer Science and Information Technology department, Syed Muhammad Shiraz, Tajour Sultana from Computer and Information Systems Engineering, Muhammad Muneeb Shaikh, Syed Munhaj-ul-Nabi Jafri, Agha Muhammad Ali Mirza, Tahniyat Aslam from Electronic Engineering, Irshad Ullah, Muhammad Kashif, Mehreen Kausar, Tahir Mumtaz Malik, Asif Hasan from Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Reza Muhammad Khan from Chemical Engineering, Abdul Rauf from Material and Metallurgy, and Humaira Altaf Khan from the Mathematics department. This year, 1,700 graduates passed out, while 277 students succeeded in their master’s programs. According to the university spokesperson, approximately 7,000 individuals attended the convocation with exemplary organization.
