DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The formation of the executive body of the Nigehban Organisation Dera for the 2026–27 term has been completed, officials said in Dera Ismail Khan.
The process was carried out under the supervision of a representative of the social welfare department, Muhammad Amjad Khan. By unanimous decision, Dr Ijaz Ahmed was retained as patron-in-chief, while senior journalist Abu-ul-Muazzam Turabi was elected president.
Humaira Nawaz was elected vice-president, Inayat Adil, an advocate, as general secretary, Khurram Hammad as joint secretary, Ijaz Ahmed as finance secretary, Ayesha Sidra as office secretary, and Muhammad Rehan as press secretary.
The organisation’s founding members — Bilqees Ara, Muhammad Zubair Baloch, Muhammad Hanif, Muhammad Ali Qaiser and Umair Sanwal — were selected to serve in an advisory role.
Congratulating the newly elected executive body, Muhammad Amjad Khan expressed the hope that its members would work with dedication and sincerity for the welfare of orphaned girls and towards achieving the organisation’s broader objectives.
