KABUL: The National Mobilization Front (NMF) has announced the formation of a front against the extremism and aggression of the Afghan Taliban regime, with the group comprising youth from Afghanistan’s northern and eastern provinces. According to the NMF, the Afghan people see no alternative but to stand against the Taliban, as a large segment of the population remains distressed by political, economic, cultural and social problems under the current administration.
The NMF stated that if jihad against the Soviet Union was once deemed a religious obligation, confronting the Taliban today has become an even greater duty. The group characterized the Afghan Taliban not as representatives of the people but as usurpers who have forcibly occupied Afghanistan. The National Mobilization Front asserted that Afghan sons and daughters are ready to save their country from the clutches of this terrorist group, emphasizing that the Taliban regime is neither inclined toward dialogue nor open to understanding.
