RAWALPINDI: The Director-General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, met with members of the National Peace and Security Committee (NPAC) at the General Headquarters on 13 January 2026, in a session that highlighted the importance of consensus on national security issues.

The meeting, officials said, focused on strengthening coordination between the armed forces and civil institutions while promoting a unified narrative to counter anti-state agendas. According to NPAC statements, the committee expressed full solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces and reaffirmed its commitment to confronting anti-state elements.

Members condemned the activities of the TTP, TTA, Fitna-e-Khawarij, and the Afghan Taliban, asserting that terrorism in any form is unacceptable. The session also underscored the need for a consistent national stance in the face of internal and regional security challenges. General Chaudhry emphasized that unity of purpose and agreement on the national narrative were essential to maintaining stability.

Discussions addressed internal security threats, particularly the ongoing challenges posed by militant groups, and reinforced the necessity of collaboration between military and civilian authorities. Participants also reiterated Pakistan’s principled positions on international issues, including Kashmir and Gaza, framing support for oppressed communities as a moral responsibility of the state.

NPAC members pledged to promote messages of social cohesion, unity, and constitutional equality across the country, extending from religious platforms to broader public discourse. General Chaudhry highlighted the role of public awareness and a truth-based narrative in countering the psychological campaigns of adversaries, noting that informed citizens are vital to sustaining national resilience.
