HANGU: The district administration held a meeting to review preparations for Ramazan, focusing on essential commodities, price control, and uninterrupted public services.
The session was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Nasir Khan, following directives from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. It was attended by district officials, department heads, representatives from Wapda and the gas utility, market committees, and traders’ unions.
Participants discussed measures to prevent hoarding, enforce official price lists, maintain traffic flow, improve sanitation, and address public complaints promptly.
The additional deputy commissioner directed authorities to ensure continuous electricity and gas supply during sehri and iftar, while keeping load-shedding to a minimum at other times. He warned that hoarders and those causing artificial price hikes would face strict action.
Separately, he conducted a surprise visit to the District Headquarters Hospital, reviewing medical facilities, medicine availability, emergency arrangements, and cleanliness. He also met patients and attendants, issuing on-the-spot instructions to resolve complaints.
Nasir Khan said the district administration was fully mobilized to ensure smooth supply of essentials, price control, traffic management, sanitation, and uninterrupted services throughout Ramazan.
